Varner Kapital purchases shares in Sikri Holding from Karbon Invest as part of their cooperation on strategic investments

18 October 2021. Karbon Invest AS (Karbon) and Varner Kapital AS (Varner) have agreed to establish a cooperation on strategic, long-term investments. The background of the cooperation is to combine Varners' track record of successful and long term investments within the Nordic IT sector with Karbons' track record from building and scaling Nordic and international IT businesses. The combined capital base and track record are believed to have a strong potential. As the first step in the cooperation, Varner has today purchased from Karbon 1,685,000 shares in Sikri Holding AS (Sikri), representing a total ownership in Sikri of approximately 8.96% The shares were purchased at NOK 123.50. Karbon and Varner will together as long-term owners both continue to back Sikri in creating a digital ecosystem and innovative services for public administration, proptech, data and analytics. Following the sale of 1,685,000 shares to Varner, Karbon owns 6,396,273 shares in Sikri, representing approximately 34.02% of the outstanding shares in Sikri. Karbon is indirectly controlled by member of the board in Sikri, Jens Rugseth. Varner owns 1,685,000 shares in Sikri, representing approximately 8.96% of the outstanding shares in Sikri, following the sale.
