Applications for the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa fall 2023 semester are now open. UH Mānoa will continue its holistic approach to reviewing applications and is not requiring SAT/ACT scores.
The Office of Admissions has events planned throughout the year for prospective students and admitted students. Information sessions with admission counselors are available to help prospective students through the application process, along with Application Days.
High school visits are also scheduled throughout this fall semester for both in-state and out-of-state students. Visit Admissions Events for the latest schedule. A tutorial application video is available for students who are unable to make it to campus.
On November 20, prospective students, including transfer students, and their parents are invited to connect with UH Mānoa departments and programs through Explore Mānoa. Prospective students have the opportunity to learn more about programs that interest them and connect with a multitude of academic and student support services.

Nowhere else in the world will you find this blend and breadth of academic opportunities, access to hands-on research experiences, a commitment to becoming a Native Hawaiian Place of Learning, and robust support through merit and need-based financial aid programs," said UH Mānoa Vice Provost for Enrollment Management Nikki Chun. "The best part is that for Hawaiʻi residents, this is all offered in your backyard. I am thrilled for the students who will apply this fall and discover Mānoa for themselves."
The priority application deadline for the fall 2023 semester is January 5.
Along with the admissions process, prospective students are also encouraged to learn more about the financial aid opportunities available. The FAFSA (free application for federal student aid) will open on October 1, as well as the UH System Scholarship Common Application. The New Warrior Scholarships are included in this UH System Scholarship Common database, with even more scholarship opportunities available.
Approximately $62 million in scholarships and grants are available in 2023-24.
