BUTLER COUNTY, IOWA - U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), a senior member and former chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, will host his fifth Federal Judiciary Youth Summit on Friday, April 5, 2024 at the Davenport United States Courthouse. Ten high schools from seven counties in southeast and eastern Iowa will participate in the program.

WHEN: Friday, April 5, 2024 from 9:30 - 11 a.m. CT
WHERE: United States Courthouse, 131 East Fourth Street, Davenport
Grassley will be available from 11 - 11:15 a.m. after the event to answer questions from local reporters outside the courtroom. Members of the media who wish to attend the media availability must RSVP. Please RSVP directly to [email protected].
*Note that reporters are allowed to attend the event but cannot bring any outside electronic devices into the courtroom. All electronic equipment must stay outside the courtroom for the duration of the event.
As part of Grassley's work to foster civic engagement and uphold the separation of powers, the 2024 Federal Judiciary Youth Summit will give young Iowans a glimpse into the federal judicial system. The event will include a welcome reception and question-and-answer session with Grassley and Locher, followed by media availability.
