Bioxytol receives green light to start operations in Ávila

At Bioxytol we are in luck. We have favorably received the integrated environmental authorization to start our operations in Arévalo, Ávila. The Junta de Castilla y León has considered it necessary to give the green light to the project and its execution due to the minimal environmental impact it entails, as well as the commitment that the company derives from its protection through our activity, actively participating in the creation of new compounds and more sustainable materials, such as, first of all, our main sweetener, isomaltulose.

This gives us the capacity on our plot to install up to 800 cubic meters of fermentation capacity, which opens the door to the development of our new generation sweeteners as well as the start-up of precision fermentation services.

In the coming months we will begin the construction and installation of the equipment that will allow us to offer different upstream and downstream capacities, with different fermentation capacities from 10L to 10,000L.

In addition, in the near future the installation of a new 100,000L bioreactor combined with different centrifugal separators as well as evaporators, dryers and crystallizers is planned, which will place us at the forefront of the industry. All this, together with our on-site precision laboratory plus the research laboratory in Belgium, will give us the expected development capacity.

For our sweeteners and for future fermentation service customers, we can create the right ecosystem by combining tailor-made protocols and methods in order to secure and shorten lead times.
