In the Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk and Novosibirsk regions, the crews of the Mi-24 attack helicopters and the Mi-8 transport and combat helicopters of the Army Aviation of the Central Military District began a night tactical flight exercise.

Pilots will perform about 100 combat training missions in navigation, aerial reconnaissance, escorting ground convoys of military equipment, covering the areas where troops are deployed, and landing troops.

The night flight tactical exercise of the army aviation crews will end at the end of August. It involves about 30 Mi-24 attack helicopters and Mi-8 transport and combat helicopters, about 500 military personnel from among the flight and engineering personnel, the control and flight support group.
