Austin, Texas - Spectrum Networks today announced veteran news and content strategist Larissa Cartwright has been named News Director to oversee Spectrum News Texas. Cartwright will oversee the strategic planning, creation and local execution of news programming and storytelling for Spectrum's award-winning networks in Austin and San Antonio. Cartwright will report to Cater Lee, Vice President, News and Content, and will be based in Austin.

'As a Texas native, she has a deep appreciation and understanding of the local markets that will be invaluable as we continue to invest in our communities and deliver hyperlocal news and storytelling specific to the unique needs of our viewers.'
An Emmy Award-winning producer, Cartwright has more than 14 years of combined experience in news programming, development and content creation. She most recently served as Executive Producer and Content Marketing Strategist for KXAN-TV in Austin. Prior to KXAN, she spent a year at WHAM-TV in Rochester, NY as Director of Digital Media. Her leadership experience also includes five years with Tribune Broadcasting where she held various positions including Director of Content, and helped lead the development and launch of a national morning show.
Cartwright earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Texas in Austin.
