Hull&Proud Week 2019 came to a close last night after 12 days of successful events, our huge 'BIG Night Out' and some great memories made.
Thousands of supporters got involved in a huge schedule over the past fortnight in the club's annual celebration.
Week One saw hundreds of school children and young community players across the region get the chance to play and train at the club's Elite Performance Centre, where the firs-team squad themselves prepare for their matches week in week out, as well as a lucky group of supporters getting a behind-the-scenes look at the complex, with head coach Lee Radford showing an exclusive video review example session!
Supporters also tried their hand at Touch Rugby League and Wheelchair Rugby League in a community focused opening week, while Corporate Sponsors took to Brough Golf Course for a full 18-holes alongside first-team players.
A bumper middle weekend of Hull&Proud Week saw the Black & Whites take on St Helens on Friday, before a huge crowd descended on Brantingham Parks to watch two high-quality performance from Hull FC Reserves and Hull FC Ladies, with the latter playing in front of a record crowd.
It was back to Brantingham on Sunday with another bumper crowd turning out in the sunshine for Danny Washbrook's Testimonial Rugby Day, getting the chance to watch the likes of Adrian Morley, Paul Sculthorpe, Lee Radford, Richard Horne, Kirk Yeaman and Feka Paleaasina in action!
Week Two saw the first-team squad head to Tribal Bar & Grill for our annual Restaurant Takeover Challenge, with Scott Taylor claiming victory over teammate Mark Minichiello in the kitchen, before supporter knowledge was put to the ultimate test and they came together with players for our Hull&Proud Week Quiz Night!
The climax of this year's celebrations came with our 'BIG Night Out' clash against London Broncos at the KCOM Stadium, with a crowd of 11,401 turning out to watch the Airlie Birds in action against the side from the capital, with Hull running out 35-22 winners.
Our huge pre-match Fan Park entertained supporters ahead of the match, with our annual Mascot Race adding some hilarious chaos to the spectacle!
The curtain was brought down on Hull&Proud Week last night with hundreds turning out for our first-ever Party On The Pier, hosted by Minerva!
Local artists Yasmin Coe, Lloyd Dobbs from The Paddington, The Shine and The Hillbilly Troupe entertained the Black & White crowd in the summer evening sunshine on the river front, with club legends and Hall of Fame members Paul Prendiville, Keith Boxall, Chris Davidson and Trevor Skerrett just a few of the great names in attendance to rub shoulders with and share a drink with supporters!
Hull FC Chief Executive commented: 'It's been another hugely successful Hull&Proud Week, and the biggest in in the event's six year history.
'To have two crowds of over 11,000 in consecutive weeks, with limited away support at both matches, is testament to the support and loyalty of our members and supporters, as well as the hard work that goes on behind the scenes.
'It's been hugely pleasing to see thousands of supporters at our various events over the last 12 days, and we're looking forward to announcing some more exciting fan-based initiatives over the coming weeks.'
