Agrobank Launches Special Edition Takaful Kasih Plus Card For MAHA 2022 - Aims To Support B40 With Affordable Takaful Protection Plan

SERDANG, SELANGOR - As a responsible financial institution to support the development of the unserved and underserved community, Agrobank continuously play its role to ensure the deserving marginalised segments of society is protected with a takaful protection plan.

Therefore, in conjunction with Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism 2022 (MAHA 2022), Agrobank today launched a special edition card of Takaful Kasih Plus MAHA 2022*, an affordable protection plan designed to aid the needs of the unserved and underserved segment aged between 15 days to 75 years old. The special edition card of Takaful Kasih Plus MAHA 2022 was launched by YB Datuk Seri Dr. Ronald Kiandee, Minister of Agriculture & Food Industry, together with Tengku Ahmad Badli Shah Raja Hussin, President / Chief Executive Officer of Agrobank during a media tour for MAHA 2022 at MAEPS, here this morning.

Takaful Kasih Plus which was first introduced in 2008 is a comprehensive takaful protection plan that offers benefits namely:

According to Tengku Ahmad Badli Shah, "We believe financial inclusion is a powerful agent for a strong and inclusive economic growth, especially in empowering individuals and the communities to improve their livelihood. "To empower the underserved, Agrobank has introduced numerous takaful plans and financing programs, including Takaful Kasih Plus. This affordable takaful product with premiums of as low as RM10.60 (inclusive of 6% SST) a year provides an alternative to the low and middle-income groups to obtain takaful protection, especially the bottom 40% of households (B40)," said Tengku Ahmad Badli Shah.

"The B40 are the most vulnerable segments to economic fluctuations as they do not have the adequate protection to shield them from any uncertainties and therefore, with the offering from Takaful Kasih Plus, it is hoped that the takaful plan may assist them during their rainy days," added Tengku Ahmad Badli Shah.

He added, "With the expectation of 1.1 million visitors at MAHA 2022, the exhibition serves as a platform for Agrobank to create awareness about the importance of the takaful plan. This is part of our initiative to enlighten Malaysians about the importance of the takaful protection plan.

Furthermore, through the affordable packages offered under the Takaful Kasih Plus plan, we hope that more people will benefit from this protection plan as a financial safety net during uncertain times and to ensure that they are well covered in the event of something unexpected happens."

"Since the launching of Takaful Kasih Plus in 2008, the takaful plan protection has been well accepted by many Malaysians where more than 200,000 participants have subscribed to the plan annually".

Commented on the special edition of Takaful Kasih Plus card for MAHA 2022, Azman Md Isa, Chief Business Officer of Agrobank said, "This special edition card is specifically designed for MAHA 2022 visitors and it can be applied at Agrobank booth, Hall A, MAHA 2022 starting from 4 - 14 August 2022."
