County Executive Meyer announces e-commerce events for small business owners

NEW CASTLE - New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer announced registration information for two upcoming small business e-commerce programs. The two seminars, co-hosted with New Castle County Chamber of Commerce, will be held at the Chamber of Commerce offices on Wednesday, June 22 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and June 28 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The workshop will discuss what e-commerce is and how it can help small businesses grow, will explain how to create a user-friendly e-commerce solution that attracts visitors and turns them into customers as well as discuss features that your website needs, and how to write a clear scope of work for developing a successful online store. Those who attend the program will be considered for a small business e-commerce development grant funded through New Castle County's ARPA funds.

The workshop is hosted by the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce's Emerging Enterprise Center in partnership with the New Castle County Office of Economic Development. The Chamber's Director of Economic Development and Business Incubation, Alysse Bortolotto will be leading the workshop.
