Iowa Poll: Reynolds’ Harmful Anti-Public School Agenda is Deeply Unpopular

In what will be a major vulnerability for Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds' re-election campaign, the Des Moines Register released a new poll showing a majority of Iowans oppose her harmful public education agenda. 55% of Iowans oppose her changes to public education, while only 33% favor it.

Recent polling results also showed most Iowans hope Gov. Reynolds does not seek re-election in 2022.

'Iowans are rejecting Gov. Reynolds' harmful plan that threatens to rip money away from public schools,' said DGA Deputy Communications Director Sam Newton. 'Reynolds' unpopular attack on public schools is harmful to children, worrisome for parents and will be especially bad for rural communities. There's no doubt her disastrous public education record will be a major problem in 2022.'
