Division St Reconstruction from 12th to Locust
10/04/22
Following some staging changes and subsurface investigation, Division St will change to one southbound lane of travel beginning at approximately 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 5. Northbound travel will not be permitted. Consider avoiding the area Wednesday while changes in traffic control are made. Northbound traffic will need to take an alternate route. All reconstruction is expected to be complete by mid-to-late November.

IMPORTANT UPDATE. Staging for the next phase of the Division St project has changed. One lane of northbound travel will likely be open through the end of the week (October 7) due to a change in staging. Southbound travel remains closed. All side streets will be closed at Division St also. Be aware the northbound travel lane has moved over a lane if you have been using the road.

Traffic control will change on Division St between 12th and Locust Streets beginning Monday, October 3! Northbound travel will not be permitted. One southbound lane of travel will be available. However, we encourage citizens to consider an alternate southbound route, as construction will take place on either side of the open southbound lane.
Asphalt has been completed in the southbound lanes. The contractor will continue work in the curb lane of this area to install driveway approaches and sidewalks. Meanwhile, an exploratory investigation of subsurface conditions in the northbound lanes will begin.
Expect additional updates next week.

Watch for changing site conditions on Division St between 12thand Locust Streets as the contractor begins applying courses of asphalt. Work is expected to transition to the northbound lanes mid-October.
07/08/22
Division St will re-open to one northbound lane of travel beginning Wednesday, July 13. With the storm and sanitary sewer improvements complete at 15th, the contractor will transition to reconstruction of Division between 12th and Locust Streets. Work will begin in the southbound lanes and take approximately six weeks to complete. Once complete work will move to the northbound lanes. All work is estimated to be complete in mid-October.

Division St reconstruction between W 12th and Locust Streets begins Tuesday, May 31. Initial reconstruction activities will close the road at 15th St for approximately one month. Watch for changes in July as the road will re-open for one northbound lane of travel only between W 12th and Locust Streets. All work is estimated to be complete in mid-October.

Improvements to another major road are coming to Davenport. Watch for lane reductions followed by road closure on Division St between W 12th and Locust Streets beginning the week of May 23. Initially, the work zone will reduce travel to one lane in each direction between 12th and 15th Streets for utility coordination; this work will be followed by full closure of Division St at 15th St as reconstruction begins.
On the heels of reconstruction between 5th and 9th Streets in 2021, this street reconstruction project will include storm and sanitary sewer improvements and driveway approach and sidewalk updates. When reconstruction begins on Tuesday, May 31, Division St will be closed at 15th St for approximately one month. The following phase will allow for the re-opening of Division St to one northbound lane of travel only between W 12th and Locust Streets.
The project is estimated to be substantially complete by mid-October.
