Suspect Wanted for Homicide in the 6400 block of Hickman Ave.

The Austin Police Department (APD) has identified Jose Aguirre as the deceased in the October 23rd homicide.
On Saturday, October 23, 2021, at approximately 4:07 p.m., 9-1-1 received a call that a person had been shot in the 6400 block of Hickman Ave. Officers responded and located a man in a driveway with apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased on-scene at 4:23 p.m. by Dr. Abraham with the Travis County Medical Examiner's Office.
Homicide investigators and crime scene technicians responded to process the scene. According to on-scene witnesses, a verbal argument broke out amongst friends and family, and Jose Luis Gorostieta-Martinez shot the victim and fled the scene.
On October 24, 2021, the Travis County Medical Examiner's office conducted an autopsy and determined the cause of death to be multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of death, homicide.
