After laying a wreath at the place where Editor-in-Chief of Dan Duško Jovanović was killed 17 years ago, Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović visited the editorial offices of the newspaper where he met with Slavica Jovanović, the wife of the murdered Duško Jovanović and Mladen Milutinović, Executive Director and co-owner of Dan.

Deputy Prime Minister Abazović emphasised that the Government of Montenegro is committed to resolving the case of Duško Jovanović's murder.

'I think this case could be finally solved. Duško Jovanović's family and friends deserve that, as well as citizens and all fighters for a righteous Montenegro. It is our obligation to finally bring the truth to light and to close this ugly chapter in Montenegrin history,' said the Deputy Prime Minister.

DPM Abazović emphasised that Duško Jovanović is not and will not be dead as long as at least one man in Montenegro is fighting for justice. Abazović pointed out that now, unlike before, the political climate is different and there is a clear committment to bring this issue to an end. In that sense, DPM Abazović emphasised the importance of the current amendments to the Law on the State Prosecutor's Office, which are crucial in resolving the case of the murder of Duško Jovanović.
