BSP Governor Addresses EJAP Forum

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) underscored that it will continue to promote price and financial stability amid expectations of Philippine economic recovery in 2021.

During the recent forum of the Economic Journalists Association of the Philippines (EJAP), BSP Governor Benjamin E. Diokno (in photo, left) said, 'The BSP will remain vigilant over the current inflation dynamics to ensure that the monetary policy stance continues to support economic recovery to the extent that the inflation outlook would allow.'

He also said the BSP will intensify monitoring and surveillance of its supervised institutions to ensure that they remain responsive to emerging risks, and to promote the continued soundness and inclusivity of the banking system, particularly through digitalization.
