Advance registration for the North Port Parks & Recreation Department's annual summer camps will be available starting with a new in-person Registration Round-Up. The Round-Up will be held on February 5, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the George Mullen Activity Center (1602 Kramer Way)! During this event you can sign up for camp and meet the Recreation staff who will lead programs to ensure your child has a safe and fun summer. With a wide variety of safe, fun, and engaging activities - the annual Summer Camp programs offered by North Port Parks & Recreation provide positive and life-changing experiences for children and teens entering 1st through 8th grade. Depending on the camper's upcoming grade school level, they will join either the Teen Xtreme Camp or the GMAC Summer Camp program. Both programs will start on May 31 and run through August 5, 2022. There will be no camp on June 20 or July 4, 2022.

The GMAC Summer Camp offers an exciting full day of programs that are designed to build character and self-esteem in both small and large group settings. The camp will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the George Mullen Activity Center (1602 Kramer Way). The camp is for students entering grades first through fifth. The cost is $80 per week and parents who need an extended camp day can enroll their children in the weekly extended care for an additional fee.

The Teen Xtreme Camp is for students entering sixth grade through eighth grade. The camp will be from 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. at the Morgan Family Community Center (6207 W. Price Blvd). This teen camp will combine the fun of day camp with more challenging programs and activities for older kids. The cost is $95 per week. Parents who need a longer camp day can enroll their child in weekly extended care for an additional fee and teens who are Achieve Anything members with parent permission may sign out after camp and use the facility per their membership.

A limited amount of funds is available from the Youth Scholarship Program to help families offset weekly camp fees. Please contact Parks & Recreation if you would like to apply for a scholarship or if you'd like to sponsor camp for a child! Funds are awarded based on eligibility criteria and are contingent upon donations received to the scholarship fund.
