Constellation Awards More Than $500,000 Through E2 Energy to Educate Grant Program

$5.5 million awarded to 270,000 students nationwide
since program's inception in 2010

BALTIMORE (Nov. 17, 2022) - Constellation (NASDAQ: CEG), the nation's largest producer of carbon-free energy and a leading supplier of energy products and services, awarded $513,000 in E² Energy to Educate grants for hands-on student projects. The grant program enables 20,000 students from middle school to college to pursue energy-related projects in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and supports the company's focus on workforce development, equity and education by encouraging young people from diverse backgrounds to get excited about STEM.

After a rigorous review process, Constellation selected 23 projects from ten states as this year's winners. The projects specifically address equity in energy, sustainability as a lifestyle, and creating a sustainable world. Winning ideas included the construction of a solar-powered net-zero home, hydroelectric generators, electric vehicle kits, and youth-focused STEM teaching programs. "With Constellation's support, our Physics Wonder Girls Summer Camp at Saint Joseph's University is now able to better fund STEM projects and purchase state-of-the-art commercial-grade devices," said Dr. Roberto Ramos, St. Joseph's University physics professor and director of Physics Wonder Girls Summer Camp in Philadelphia, one of this year's 23 E² Energy to Educate grant awardees. "There currently is a large disparity among physics graduates - with women being grossly underrepresented in the field - and the camp's offerings will be able to introduce more young girls to the world of physics."
