SPIE ICS installs its new national managed services centre in the Inovallée science park (Isère)

Malakoff, 2 September 2021 - SPIE ICS, a French digital services subsidiary of the SPIE group, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, has announced the transfer of its national expertise and services centre to the Inovallée science park (Isère, France). This move confirms the growth of managed services^[1] for this DSP^[2], which has chosen to keep all of its operations in France.

With a surface area of nearly 2,000 m2 accessible to soft mobility, these new premises combine staff well-being, performance and innovation. Officially opened this autumn, they house the supervision cockpit of SPIE ICS's expertise and services centre which allows the 80,500 checkpoints of the centre's customers to be monitored in real time from a 10-metre video wall.

'This video wall offers an overview of our customers' systems and allow the SPIE ICS teams to monitor all the IT infrastructures of our customers, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our ability to react in the event of a fault has been strengthened', explains Raphaël Mermond, director of SPIE ICS's expertise and services centre in Grenoble.

The new site also has a data centre, allowing data to be stored internally. The premises also include a space reserved for ultra-secure sensitive operations and a dedicated room for modelling the production infrastructures of the customers.

The subsidiary's expertise centre is currently posting annual growth of 10%, a trend which is set to continue over the next three years, and these new premises bring together nearly a hundred staff members from the expertise and services centre and nearly fifty from the Alps branch.

SPIE ICS already employs 500 staff members in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and has created around fifteen new vacancies on this site, for roles such as engineers, experts and technicians.
