Bigs on Campus celebrates 8th year

The Dr. Potter's Bigs on Campus Mentoring Initiative celebrated the conclusion of it's eighth year with 21 "matches" recognized for their dedication to the program.

Bigs on Campus pairs St. Cloud State faculty, staff, alumni, and upperclassmen as role models and mentors with sixth through twelfth graders from South Jr. High and Tech High Schools. Littles, as they are known as, are bussed to campus twice monthly to meet with their Big for lunch, campus exploration, and discussion on their future possibilities.

Littles are given the opportunity to see that higher education can be a possibility for them by touring facilities, sitting in on classes, and asking questions of their role models. Two graduating seniors announced they will study at St. Cloud Technical and Community College and St. Cloud State University in the fall.
