ScotRail Ticket Examiners vote by 90% to continue pay action

ScotRail Ticket Examiners vote by 90% to continue action in reballot in fight for pay equality and justice.

RAIL UNION RMT said that Scotrail Ticket Examiners who have been engaged in a six month fight for pay justice and equality have voted by a massive 90% to continue their action in a reballot.

Under the recent additions to the anti union laws workers have to be balloted every six months ‎if they wish to continue an on-going dispute.

RMT General Secretary Mick Lynch said:

"This is a stunning result and I want to congratulate our members who have stood firm alongside their conductor colleagues for over six months in this fight for pay justice and equality in the face of outrageous provocation from the employer.

"Today's result will now be considered by the unions executive.

"Our campaign of action continues this Sunday and it is now down to Scotrail and their political masters to take this key group of staff seriously, to stop snubbing talks and to get round the table with the union to negotiate a fair and just settlement. "
