CHICAGO, IL - Paul E. Starkman, a Member in Clark Hill's Labor & Employment Business Unit, recently appeared on local CLTV Politics Tonight, 'New Laws for Illinois Employers in 2019' broadcast. Starkman discussed hot topics such as anti-discrimination and sexual harassment rights, as well as use of technology and biometrics within the workplace, and what employers need to do to remain compliant with new laws.
'The use of fingerprints, voiceprints, facial recognition… those are becoming quite popular in all kinds of businesses and we're seeing, especially in Illinois, [we have] this unique law that creates a cause of action and creates legal liability,' said Starkman.
