Norfolk female arrested for DWI

press release

On April 24, 2024, State Police members arrested Pearl L. Alexander, age 36, of Norfolk, NY for Aggravated DWI: with a child less than 16 years, DWI 1st offense, resisting arrest, and obstruction of governmental administration 2nd.

On April 24, 2024, at approximately 10:21 p.m., Troopers responded to State Route 420, in the town of Norfolk, for a vehicle off the roadway. When the Troopers arrived on the scene, they located a red 2005 Chrysler van in the ditch. Troopers interviewed the driver, who was identified as Alexander. During the interview, Troopers observed a child in the back seat, not in a child restraint and Alexander was showing signs of impairment. Troopers administered SFSTs, in which Alexander failed. While the Troopers were attempting to place Alexander in custody she started to refuse and push back from the Troopers. The child in the vehicle was turned over to a family member who arrived on the scene.

Alexander was arrested and transported to SP Massena for processing. While at SP Massena Alexander continued to give the Troopers a hard time by not listening to commands and refusing to be fingerprinted. Alexander was arraigned in the Town of Norfolk Court, where the Judge ordered her to provide the fingerprints. Alexander was later released and must reappear at the Town of Norfolk Court at a later date in May.
