Get your Nectar on with a revolutionary new digitised programme

Nectar introduces a new approach to loyalty by moving to a new digitised app and website from today

Nectar has today announced the launch of a full digitisation of its loyalty scheme. The enhanced Nectar proposition follows successful trials in Wales and the Isle of Wight.

Nectar customers nationwide will be able to access new and exciting weekly offers using an enhanced app and website, from the partners they know and love. Customers will also earn bonus Nectar points on the products they buy regularly at Sainsbury's, in a way which is completely personalised to them as individuals based on their loyalty, in addition to earning 1 point for every £1 spent.

Each week, customers will get unique offers via the Nectar app on their phone or on the website and will gain points by saving the offers they like before they shop. In addition to points offered at Sainsbury's, customers will be able to receive other regular promotions, such as money off at Sainsbury's and Nectar bonus point events, digitally. Customers will also be able to see offers from hundreds of Nectar partners and could, for example, receive 2x points at eBay to celebrate the launch (running from 2nd - 9th October).

From today, new customers will simply need to register using the Nectar app or through the Nectar website, searching for 'Nectar' in the app store. Existing digital customers are required to update their current app.

A brand new digital card is also available in the app to enable customers to scan their phone in Sainsbury's and at Esso instead of carrying a plastic card.

James Moir, Managing Director of Nectar commented: 'We're delighted to be unveiling a new world of Nectar to our customers, making it easier than ever before for them to get the most out of our hundreds of partners and rewards on offer. During the trials in Wales and the Isle of Wight, we listened to what our customers wanted and how they like to receive offers, in an increasingly digitised world. This led us to a change in direction for the Nectar scheme, enabling our customers to have a much more personalised experience with offers that are completely unique to them.'

Nectar is the UK's leading coalition loyalty programme and has been rewarding British shoppers for the past 17 years. Nectar offers over 18 million customers hundreds of offers and personalised rewards including money off shopping, travel, days out and cinema tickets.

Points can be spent with a wide range of partners and online retailers covering entertainment, travel, food and drink, and experiences. From money off train tickets with the likes of LNER, to the chance to travel to Paris, Amsterdam or Brussels on the Eurostar. Cinema tickets and Sky movie rentals can also be purchased using points, along with the latest technology from Argos, coffees at Caffé Nero, and for those looking for a night in, ready meals at Sainsbury's.

Points can be collected from almost 400 retailers and partners including Sainsbury's, Argos, ASOS, Debenhams, Next, Topshop and Not on the High Street**. For more information about where to collect and redeem, visit https://www.nectar.com/.

*Customers can continue to use their physical Nectar cards in store, and any existing points will be saved on the Nectar App to be used for rewards.
