WASHINGTON, D.C. - Joint Staff Spokesperson Navy Capt. Jereal Dorsey provided the following readout:

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. CQ Brown, Jr., spoke with Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Gen. Oleksandr Syrskyi today by phone.

Gen. Brown and Gen. Syrskyi discussed the unprovoked and ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine and the latest battlefield assessments. The Chairman reaffirmed that the United States stands firmly with Ukraine against Russia's indefensible and illegal aggression.
