In 2017 it is planned to ship for export 30 million tons of oil through Ust-Luga oil port in Leningrad Region, which corresponds to the design capacity of Ust-Luga oil depot (branch of Transneft Baltic).
According to the results of 2016, REBCO oil export from Ust-Luga port has been increased and is equal to 30.1 million tons, which is 3.3 million tons more than it was in 2015.
The main oil receivers in 2016 were: the Netherlands - 15.8 million tons (52.51%), Lithuania - 2.5 million tons (8.32%), Sweden - 2.5 million tons (8.31%), Spain - 2.4 million tons (7.97%), Finland - 2 million tons (6.64%). 1.3 million tons was shipped to Italy (4.3%), 1.1 million tons - to Poland (3.66%), 1.1 million tons - to Germany (3.64%). The countries importing oil through Ust-Luga port include France, Croatia, Greece, Norway, Latvia and Denmark.
Cargo turnover of Ust-Luga oil depot was increased twice from the moment of tankers loading start in March 2012. In 2012 the amount of shipment was equal to 14.3 million tons; in 2016 it was equal to 30.1 million tons. In total more than 117 million tons of oil were exported starting from 2012.

Ust-Luga Commercial Sea Port is located in the south-eastern part of the Luga Bay of the Gulf of Finland. Ust-Luga oil depot was commissioned on 23 March 2012 and it is the end point of BPS-2 (Baltic Pipeline System - 2) oil pipeline. The amount of the tank farm of Ust-Luga oil depot is equal to 420,000 cubic metres. Ust-Luga oil depot became a branch of Transneft Baltic on 01 April 2016.
