Architectural Digest’s Clever and Atomic Ranch Celebrate the Florence Knoll Coffee Table
Atomic Ranch, the trusted resource for mid-century modern design, included Florence Knoll's iconic Coffee Table, an enduring example of the designer's rational design process, in its Spring 2021 round-up of period picks celebrating modernism in the desert.
Architectural Digest's online outlet, Clever, also included the Coffee Table in a story about glass coffee tables, noting 'No matter the size, a glass table will trick the eye into seeing an open space, and its light-catching surface will further brighten up the room.' The Florence Knoll Coffee Table, designed to furnish the new interiors of postwar America, is a scaled-down translation of the lines, gestures and materials of modern architecture. Consistent with all of her designs, the table has a spare, geometric presence that reflects the rational design approach Florence Knoll learned from Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.
