Special Session

Proclamation

In accordance with the provisions of Article IV, Section 6, and Article V, Section 5, of the Constitution of Virginia and the powers thereby vested in the Governor to call a Special Session of the General Assembly upon application of two-thirds of the members elected to each house or when the interest of the Commonwealth may so require,

I, Glenn Youngkin, Governor of Virginia, do hereby summon the members of the Senate and the House of Delegates, constituting the General Assembly of Virginia, to meet in Special Session commencing the 13th day of May, two thousand and twenty-four for the purpose of completion of the 2024-2026 biennial budget.

Given under my hand and under the Lesser Seal of the Commonwealth at Richmond, this 17th day of April in the year Two Thousand and Twenty-Four in the 248th year of the Commonwealth.
