Digital vaccination 2D bar codes launched for people fully vaccinated in the Bailiwick of Guernsey

Friday 22 October 2021

The States of Guernsey can confirm that following successful overnight testing, the introduction of 2D bar codes for digital vaccination certificates has gone ahead this morning.

The codes are now available through Travel Tracker accounts and can be accessed by simply logging into your account (or creating an account if you do not already have one) and selecting your digital vaccination certificate. The 2D bar code will come up automatically when you do this.

Once you log into your account and bring up a 2D bar code, it is valid for 30 days. But if you log out and log back in, this will bring up a new, up-to-date code. For this reason it is advised that people travelling regularly log back into their accounts, so that the code they are using is always up-to-date.

This development means that, wherever the codes are requested - either for travel purposes or, as is the case in some jurisdictions, for entry into certain venues - fully vaccinated Islanders will be able to present their code to confirm their vaccination status. The codes link directly into the NHS COVID Pass system, and have been developed through close working with NHSx and UK partners.
