Clifford Chance adds private equity partner Neil Evans to its leading global private equity team

Clifford Chance today announces that Neil Evans will be re-joining the firm in January 2022 as a private equity partner based in London.

Having originally practised at Clifford Chance, and then Simpson Thacher Bartlett, Neil Evans re-joins from Mayer Brown's private equity practice having advised on transactions with a range of clients, including Blackstone, KKR and Bain Capital.

Neil Evans's appointment reflects Clifford Chance's continued investment in its global private equity practice. A market leader since the private equity industry's inception in the 1980s, Clifford Chance has over 700 private equity lawyers globally and the team supports clients throughout the world's major financial centres and emerging markets. Recent highlights include advising on Clayton, Dubilier & Rice's bid for Wm Morrison Supermarkets; KKR and Roompot on the envisaged acquisition of Landal GreenParks from Platinum Equity; Cinven on the acquisition of a majority stake in True Potential, a wealth management company; Blackstone on the public takeover of NIBC Bank; EQT on the initial acquisition and recent IPO of Azelis on Euronext Brussels. Advising Permira and Cinven-backed Allegro, on its listing on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, the second largest capital raise in Europe at the time of launch; and Permira-backed alterDomus on its strategic acquisition of New York-based technology provider Investors Economic Assurance.
