ILO to launch WESO Trends for Women 2018 – Global Snapshot

GENEVA (ILO News) - The International Labour Organization (ILO) is to launch its 'World Employment and Social Outlook: Trends for Women 2018 - Global snapshot,' on Wednesday, 7 March at 21:00 GMT, on the eve of International Women's Day marked on 8 March.

The Snapshot provides updated statistics on employment rates for women compared to men and women's participation in the labour market throughout the world. It also briefly looks at the different challenges women face in the world of work and suggests strong policy responses to reduce gender inequalities on the labour market.
