TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Lane Closure on Interstate 610 for Streetlight Repairs

NEW ORLEANS - The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW), in close coordination with the Louisiana Department of Transportation (LaDOTD), will close the westbound right lane along the stretch of Interstate 610 between Elysian Fields Avenue and the London Avenue Canal starting Wednesday, May 8 at approximately 9 a.m. This closure will also include the Elysian Fields Avenue Overpass, Interstate 610 on-ramp at Elysian Fields Avenue and Broad Street off-ramp. For more details, please refer to the attached map.

This closure is necessary to facilitate repairs by DPW contractor All Star Electric.

Public safety is top priority. Throughout the closure period, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., appropriate signage will be deployed to safely guide motorists through the affected area.

This closure marks another step in the ongoing collaborative effort between the DPW and LaDOTD to systematically address streetlight repairs. By working together, both the City and State are dedicated to the successful implementation of these crucial improvements.
