Western fare in casual dining settings

1. Jack's Place

A family favourite restaurant for sizzling steaks and wholesome Western cuisine, Jack's Place has been around since 1966. This is definitely a place of nostalgia for many families in Singapore! For Mother's Day this year, Jack's Place is offering a four-course set menu from S$33++ onwards featuring three choices for mains (all served with truffle steak fries and mesclun salad), including their signature N.Z. Tenderloin Steak, Honey Soy Glazed Chicken with Grilled Slipper Lobster and Grilled Barramundi with Half-shell Scallops.

If you have little ones joining in, Jack's Place has a kid's menu that's specially catered to them. There's even a kid-friendly steak that comes with vegetables and mashed potato as sides, a perennial favourite of kids.

2. Perch

For Western fare with an Asian twist, try Perch. This Asian-European casual dining restaurant is an integrated wine-and-dine bistro concept, so expect to find an extensive wine selection. For S$128++ for 2 pax or S$228++ for 4 pax for their Mother's Day menu, you'll get to enjoy three appetisers, a delectable main course of grilled spice rub seabass, roasted lemongrass lamb rack and grilled wagyu beef petite tenders served with fried broccoli and mashed potato, and a dessert.

Perch offers awesome views of the HSBC Rain Vortex and Shiseido Forest Valley, so you can bask in nature as you dine!

3. Dian Xiao Er

Famed for their Herbal Roast Duck, a delicacy marinated with a myriad of herbs and spices and paired with a special concoction of herbal sauce, Dian Xiao Er is no stranger to families looking for a scrumptious Chinese banquet. To celebrate Mother's Day and Father's Day, they have three types of set menus (available for three pax up to 10 pax) comprising four new dishes - the Bi Feng Tang Style Pork Ribs, Braised Prawn Paste & Mushroom with Beancurd Topped with Bonito Flakes, Deep-Fried Soft Shell Crab with Chef's Special Pumpkin Sauce and Steamed Seabass with Spicy Bean Paste. Be prepared for a feast!

For bigger families, Dian Xiao Er can accomodate groups of 10 to 12 pax. Do enquire before heading down so that they can make the arrangements.

4. JUMBO Seafood

If your mum's a fan of seafood and chilli crab, look no further than JUMBO Seafood. Treat your mum and whole fam to their Beauty and Wellness Mother's Day Set Menus that cater to four pax up to 10 pax, priced from S$328++ onwards. Expect to find nourishing ingredients like the cordyceps flowers and fish maw in their main courses, and a dessert with hashima and peach resin that's good for the skin. Also, specially created for their Mother's Day menu this year is the Live Australian Lobster Steamed with Black Garlic that's sure to be a crowd favourite!

5. Tonito Latin American Kitchen

Haven't heard of Tonito? It's time to get acquainted with this Latin American restaurant! With only one outlet in Singapore at Jewel Changi Airport, they serve Latin American comfort food like tacos, quesadillas and burritos, alongside a variety of tapas for sharing and flavourful main courses. Specially for Mother's Day, they're offering a Chupe Mariscos Platter (mixed seafood, Arequipa style stew, charred corn and fregola pasta) served with fried pork fritters and two glasses of Sangria at S$68++ that's good for two pax.

The restaurant also offers a view of the world's largest indoor waterfall so be sure to request for a table near the HSBC Rain Vortex.

6. Yun Nans

If you'd rather dine at home, consider ordering Yun Nans' special Mother's Day set menu that's only available for take-aways. Priced at S$118++, the limited-time menu features a yummy line-up of authentic Yunnan cuisine. Sink your teeth into their iconic nourishing soup the Steam Pot Chicken Soup with Lily Bulb, Lychee Prawn Ball, Braised Chicken Noodles with Dried Chilli, Grilled Seabass with Lemongrass, Poached Seafood Rice in Prawn Broth and new dish Bursting Tofu with Salt & Pepper (crispy deep-fried tofu coated with a blend of salt and pepper).
