Join us at a ribbon-cutting celebration for the completion of the Martin Road at OR 47 Roundabout at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 11, at Old Martin Road, east of the project. See map

The Washington County Board of Commissioners, Department of Land Use & Transportation, the Oregon Department of Transportation and the City of Forest Grove worked together to complete the project. In addition the roundabout, shoulders on Martin Road were widened and three failing culverts were replaced with a single-span bridge at Council Creek.

The roundabout improves safety by reducing the number of side-impact and high-speed crashes. The widened shoulders add safety and increase space for wide farm vehicles and slower-moving bicycles, and the bridge improves water flow and fish passage and reduces impact to the road due to flooding.

The celebration will include a brief ceremony followed by a ribbon cutting. Email Capital Project Services or call 503-846-7822 with questions.
