National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic Meets with Ambassador of Belarus to Serbia

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with the Ambassador of Belarus to Serbia Valery Brylev.

National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic said that bilateral relations between the two countries have always been good and expressed his readiness to contribute to their further development in his capacity as National Assembly Speaker by strengthening parliamentary cooperation.

Ambassador Brylev agreed that the relations between the two countries are good, stressing that in addition to the developed political dialogue, Serbia and Belarus are also connected by the friendship between the two peoples. He pointed out that there is ample room to improve economic cooperation between the two countries and that there is a lot of interest in Belarus for Serbia's touristic offer.

The officials discussed the possibilities of furthering parliamentary cooperation through the parliamentary committees and friendship groups, as well as through an exchange of visits of heads of parliament. The National Assembly Speaker once again reiterated the earlier invitations sent to Natalya Kochanova, Speaker of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly, and Vladimir Andreichenko, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Belarus, to visit Serbia.
