Twillingate RCMP investigates arson at abandoned Bayview residence and seeks public's assistance

Twillingate RCMP is investigating an arson at an abandoned residence on Bayview Street in Bayview.

Shortly after 3:30 a.m., September 9, 2022, police received a report of a fire at an unoccupied house and an adjoining field in the community of Bayview. Firefighters were able to contain and extinguish the blaze before it caused significant damage. The investigation determined that the fire was intentionally set.

This same location was subjected to an arson last year on September 11, 2021.

The investigation is continuing.
