Final rosters confirmed ahead of FIBA U16 Women's European Championship 2022

MATOSINHOS (Portugal) - The final rosters of all 16 participating teams at the FIBA U16 Women's European Championship were confirmed ahead of the start of the tournament which tips off in the Portuguese city of Matosinhos on Friday, August 19.

Group A: Croatia, Finland, Hungary, Italy
Group B: Germany, Lithuania, Slovenia, Spain
Group C: Belgium, Latvia, Poland, Portugal
Group D: Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Greece

The Group Phase comprises of four groups of four teams each, and will be played in a round-robin format, from Friday until Sunday.

On Tuesday, August 23, all contenders will move to the Round of 16, which is the first round of the knockout phase. The teams which competed in Group A will cross over with those from Group B, while the ones from Group C will do likewise with the teams from Group D.

The Quarter-Finals are scheduled for Wednesday with the Semi-Finals set to take place on Friday, followed by the Final and the Third-Place Game on Saturday, August 27. You can watch all games, live and for free, on YouTube.com/FIBA.

Meanwhile, the FIBA U16 Women's European Championship, Division B tournament got underway in Podgorica, Montenegro on Thursday, August 18 with teams competing to gain promotion to the top tier.
