Location: Paris and Cannes

Event: Multiple demonstrations expected to take place on Saturday, January 22:

Paris:

  • 10:00 a.m., Place de la Republique
  • 2:00 p.m., Place d'Anvers towards Place de la Nation
  • 2:30 p.m., Place de la Bastille towards Place d'Italie

Gilets Jaunes intend to protest the vaccine pass and other issues. Authorities indicated potential for civil disturbances.

Cannes:

  • 6:00 p.m., Palais des Victories, political rally. Authorities indicated potential for clashes between supporters of different candidates.

Additional demonstrations in other major cities in France may also be planned.
