First Lady Erdoğan visits vocational training center for women in Luanda

First Lady Emine Erdoğan, who is accompanying President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on his visit to Angola, attended an event held by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) to support Rangel Vocational Training Center for Women in the capital Luanda.

Making a speech at the event, Mrs. Erdoğan underscored that Turkey was always in solidarity with the Angolan people, and said: "Our approach to Africa is based on our vision for civilizations. We see the humanity as a great and single family and shape our policies through the awareness of the responsibilities we feel towards this family. Turkey's Africa initiative has extremely strengthened our relations with the countries in the continent."

Stating that Rangel Vocational Training Center for Women enormously contributed to women's lives in Luanda, First Lady Erdoğan said the development of countries was possible only by supporting women's participation in social and economic lives, and that strong communities could be built only through the empowerment of women.

Further noting that TİKA was carrying Turkey's goodwill to the entire world, First Lady Erdoğan thanked the agency and its staff for their efforts to complete the furnishing of a music hall and information technologies classroom within the training center.
