Pedestrian hit by car - Earlwood

Inquiries continue after a pedestrian was hit by a car in Earlwood yesterday.

About 5.45pm (Wednesday 11 January 2017), a 50-year-old man was walking along Bray Avenue when he went to cross the road.

At the same time a 32-year-old man was driving a white Toyota Hilux along the same road when the vehicle and pedestrian collided.

The pedestrian was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before he was taken to St George Hospital. He remains there in a serious, but stable condition.

Officers from Ashfield Local Area Command attended and commenced investigations.

The driver of the Toyota was uninjured and taken to the same hospital for mandatory testing.

As inquiries into the incident continue, police are urging witnesses who have not yet come forward to contact Crime Stoppers.
