Bridge Inspections Today on the Joseph Priestley and Edison Bridges in Northumberland County

Montoursville, PA - Motorists are advised that bridge inspections will take place today on the bridges that carry Route 405 (Bridge Avenue) over the North Branch Susquehanna River in Upper Augusta Township and Northumberland Borough, Northumberland County.

On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) bridge crew will be performing bridge inspections on the Joseph Priestley Bridge and Edison Bridge. Work will be performed between Shikellamy Avenue in Upper Augusta Township and Priestley Avenue in Northumberland Borough. Motorists can expect single lane conditions where work is being performed.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel and drive with caution through the work zone.
