Final preparations are being made to welcome visitors from across the country to Sonic-Con, a new, national audio theatre convention hosted by Liberty University. This unique, family-friendly event will welcome voice-over professionals and fan favorites James Arnold Taylor, Katie Leigh, and Phil Lollar.
Sonic-Con's unique programming will allow convention-goers to do more than simply meet industry guests; it will give fans and aspiring professionals opportunities to learn and create during the jam-packed weekend event.
Executive director Chris Nelson, said, 'Liberty is the perfect place to host this convention: families can come together, redemptive stories can be told, and like-minded people can share ideas on shaping culture through audio theatre.'
Sonic-Con will be offering the following during the weekend convention:
James Arnold Taylor's one-man show, 'Talking to Myself,' where he will voice over 200 characters in a live, stage event. Taylor is best known for voicing Obi Wan Kenobi in Star Wars: The Clone Wars as well as many others.
A wide variety of masterclasses in voice-over work, writing, sound editing, conceptual art, etc.
Live radio dramas of original audio works, with live Foley sound effects
A New-Work Festival, highlighting radio dramas in progress
Katie Leigh, best known for the voice of Connie Kendall from Focus on the Family's Adventures in Odyssey and Phil Lollar, one of the co-creators of the show, will sit down for a special Q & A entitled Odyssey: Lessons Learned.
