Xi Jinping Sends Message of Condolence to Indonesian President Joko Widodo over Sunken Navy Submarine

On April 27, 2021, President Xi Jinping sent a message of condolence to Indonesian President Joko Widodo over the sinking of an Indonesian navy submarine recently.

Xi Jinping said in his message that he is shocked to learn about that an Indonesian navy submarine has sunk in the sea, leaving many soldiers and crew members aboard dead. On behalf of the Chinese government and people, as well as in my own name, I would like to express my deep condolences to the victims, and extend sincere sympathies to the bereaved families and the injured.
