Fischer Statement on National Security Supplemental

"Across the globe, we are seeing increasingly aggressive behavior from our adversaries Russia, China, and Iran. Apps with connections to the Chinese Communist Party, like TikTok, continue to surveil millions of Americans.

"It will take American leadership and American power to restore order and promote peace. This includes helping our democratic partners and allies. However, if war broke out today in the Pacific or elsewhere, the United States could not depend on our industrial might to win, as we did in World War II.

"To keep our homeland safe and to ensure the defense of this country, we must make investments here in the United States to be able to produce the weapons needed to deter, and if necessary, win future conflicts."
