Three Development Teams Vie to Build the Heart of Fairview Project

The City of Fairview issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) in March 2022 for development teams interested in partnering to create the Heart of Fairview on the city's 5-acre property at the corner of Halsey and Village Streets. The Heart of Fairview is envisioned to be a vibrant heart of the community featuring a grand market hall/makerspace, a mix of retail/food & beverage establishments, public gathering spaces and other uses, connecting the Halsey Street Corridor to Fairview Village and Historic Fairview.

The city is excited to announce that three development teams have submitted their qualifications to be considered for this endeavor. View the three (3) proposals and the city's original Request for Qualifications following the below links.

Next steps to choose one development team for the project include a citizen panel of seven community members who will give feedback on the proposals to a team of three city councilors plus staff. The rating team will score the proposals, so semi-finalists can be chosen for interviews. After the interviews, a final development team will be identified, who will present their vision and qualifications to develop the Heart of Fairview to the Fairview City Council. Once approved by the City Council, the development team will partner with the city's urban renewal agency to turn the Heart of Fairview vision into a reality.
