UNESCO New Delhi celebrates International Museum Day 2021

On the occasion of International Museum Day 2021, UNESCO New Delhi supported a commemorative event on 'The Hybrid Museum: Is it a Solution for a Sustainable Tomorrow?' organized virtually by the India Habitat Centre, Bihar Museum and Dronah Foundation, on 18 May 2021.

The participants comprised of museum professionals, cultural organizations, representatives from government institutions and experts working in this field. It featured a panel with Dr Shikha Jain, Chairperson, Dronah Foundation; Anjani Kumar Singh, Nodal Officer, Bihar Museum; Dr Venu Vasudevan, Addl. Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary, Government of Kerala; Subrata Nath, Additional Director General, National Museum; Dr Guilhem Andre, Chief Curator, Louvre, Abu Dhabi. Dr Alka Pande, Art Consultant and Curator, Indian Habitat Centre moderated the debate and Eric Falt, UNESCO New Delhi Director and Representative gave the opening address.
