Library Summer Programming Returns in Person

St. Petersburg, FL (May 17, 2022) - Readers of all ages are invited to explore Oceans of Possibilities with the St. Petersburg Library System this summer.

Free educational summer programming will be offered May 28 through July 30, 2022 with ocean-themed stories, presentations, crafts, activities and more for toddlers through teens - and adults too. The nine-week offering encourages youth, as well as the young at heart, to keep reading and learning over the summer while school is out. This year's theme, Oceans of Possibilities, celebrates oceanography.

This will be the first year since 2019 that St. Petersburg Library System's summer programming will take place in person.

"We are delighted to be able to once again offer free, engaging summer programming to the community. Now that we are again able to offer summer programming in person, the community can get the most out of what St. Pete's libraries have to offer," said Mika Nelson, St. Petersburg Library System Director.

Summer programming will kick off at the Mirror Lake Community Library where participants can pick up a Summer Programming Guide and take-home activities.
