Consultations of representatives of the CSTO defence departments on the creation of joint medical support for the CSTO were held in Moscow

In Moscow, the Joint Headquarters of the CSTO heldconsultations with representatives of the defence departments of the CSTO member states on the creation of a joint formation of the NBC Protection and medical support of the CSTO. The event is aimed at developing common approaches to the creation of a new joint formation in the Organization and its normative legal consolidation.

Representatives of the defence departments of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan took part in the videoconference mode of the CSTO in a meeting chaired by the head of the Department of planning the use of Troops (Collective Forces) CSTO-Deputy Head of the Center for planning the use and training of Troops (Collective Forces) Lieutenant General Anatoly Yakovlev.

During the consultations, the draft documents prepared by the CSTO Joint Headquarters on the creation of a joint formation of the NBC protection and medical support of the CSTO were considered and agreed upon. The documents were developed taking into account the experience of the Russian Ministry of Defence on the participation of combined units of the NBC protection and medical support in measures to combat the pandemic in Russia and abroad.
