PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE G20 Foreign Affairs and Development Ministerial Meetings (Matera - 29 June 2021) and Ministerial Event on Humanitarian Assistance (Brindisi, 30 June 2021)

On Tuesday, 29 June 2021, from 10.00, the G20 Foreign Affairs Ministers' Meeting will be held in Matera (Palazzo Lanfranchi), chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio. A joint meeting of the G20 Foreign and Development Ministers will follow at 15.20. Finally, at 18.00, the G20 Development Ministers' meeting will take place; Vice Minister Marina Sereni will chair it.

Minister Luigi Di Maio's welcome will precede the event to the Heads of Foreign Delegations. It will be held in Bari at the Castello Svevo, at 19:00 on Monday 28 June.

Ministerial Event on Humanitarian Assistance

(Brindisi, UNHRD Depot and UN Logistic Base - 30 June 2021)

On Wednesday, 30 June 2021, the Ministerial Event on Humanitarian Assistance will occur in Brindisi at the UNHRD Base from 10.00 onwards.

The Ministerial event will be co-chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio, and the Executive Director of the World Food Programme (WFP), David Beasley, and moderated by the President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Francesco Rocca.

At 12.00, Minister Di Maio and Executive Director Beasley will give declarations to the press.

Alle ore 14.00 i due co-presidenti si recheranno per una visita delle installazioni della base UNHRD e del Centro Servizi Globale delle Nazioni Unite (UNGSC) presenti all'interno dell'Aeroporto militare di Brindisi.

At 14.00, the two co-chairs will visit the installations of the UNHRD base and of the UN Global Service Center (UNGSC) inside Brindisi military airport.

Advance accreditation of interested media representatives is mandatory.

Accreditation applications must be received by Friday, 25 June 2021, through online registration on https://g20italia2021.org/mt1/mediahome.aspx or on the accreditation page of the G20 website https://www.g20.org/.

We recommend that you print out and bring with you the confirmation email sent by the online system.

Access to the sessions and the Media Centre is subject to a negative rapid swab test carried out within 48 hours prior to access.

Journalists already accredited for previous G20 Ministerial Meetings need specific accreditation for the Foreign Affairs and Development Ministerial and the Ministerial Event on Humanitarian Assistance

Please note that applying in advance for entry to the pools is necessary by writing to [email protected]. Pool badges will be collected at the Press Accreditation Desk at the Palace Hotel in Bari and Palazzo dell'Annunziata in Matera (see Media Handbook).

The Family photos will be made available on the G20 website.

All the photos and images produced by the Host Broadcaster will be available to the accredited press representatives by accessing the link. The link will be activated in the online registration profile on the G20 Portal.
