Provide your Feedback on Life and Disability Benefits for MAPE Members

The State of Minnesota contracts with insurance companies to provide employee benefits for life insurance and short- and long-term disability insurance which is outlined in the MAPE contract (p. 75 and p. 80). The benefits have been the same for quite some time, but the State has begun a procurement process to select vendors for a new contract. Depending on the products and services offered by the applicant vendors it is possible that a new contract could result in different products and services than we have now.

We would like your feedback about the current life insurance and short- and long-term disability benefits and your suggestions for ways to improve the benefits. MAPE has a representative on the evaluation team as part of the labor/management relationship with SEGIP who will bring this feedback to the group.
