Autumn is about to get a lot more fab-u-lous as the 20th series of the multi-award-winning Strictly Come Dancing launches on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, once again bringing glitter, glamour and glorious dancing to homes across the nation.
Hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman welcome our celebrity contestants to the ballroom, where the judges will be watching their every move.
Here's everything you need to know about Strictly Come Dancing 2022...
Strictly Come Dancing's launch show airs on Friday 23 September from 7pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, as the Strictly Class of 2022 meet their professional partners for the very first time. Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman are on hand to kick off what promises to be a fab-u-lous autumn in the ballroom.
The celebrities and their dance partners take to the ballroom floor for the first live show on Saturday 24 September from 6.45pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. There's no public vote but the judges still have their paddles. Their scores will be carried over to the next week when viewers will have their chance to vote for their favourite couple.
The lowest scoring couples will go head to head in the first dance off of 2022 on Sunday 2 October.
Waltzing onto our screens this year are Ellie Simmonds, Ellie Taylor, Fleur East, Hamza Yassin, Helen Skelton, James Bye, Jayde Adams, Kaye Adams, Kym Marsh, Matt Goss, Molly Rainford, Richie Anderson, Tony Adams, Tyler West and Will Mellor.
Four world-class new professional dancers are stepping into the Strictly ballroom this year. They are: European cup winner Vito Coppola, Chinese National Champion Carlos Gu, former Under 21 British National Champion Lauren Oakley and Latin dance champion Michelle Tsiakkas.
They join the dazzling Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Graziano Di Prima, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Cameron Lombard, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Giovanni Pernice, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Kai Widdrington and Nancy Xu.
The Strictly 2022 couples will be revealed during the launch show on Friday 23 September.
Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Head Judge Shirley Ballas are back in the ballroom for series 20 and they're very excited.
This year's series will include viewer favourites, Movie Week, Halloween Week and Musicals Week. Plus, there'll be a very special new BBC 100 themed week.
Celebrating 100 years of the BBC, the fun-filled new themed episode will see each of the couples take to the Strictly ballroom floor, either dancing to a theme tune from an iconic BBC programme or in tribute to one of the BBC's most loved services. There will also be two dazzling professional routines, one dedicated to the BBC's natural history programming and another that will see our professional dancers "crashing" some of the BBC's flagship shows.
And yes - you heard it here first - Strictly Come Dancing will be returning to the famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom for Blackpool Week in 2022.
It Takes Two will be back on Monday 26 September on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer with hosts Janette Manrara and Rylan at the helm once again.
Joe Sugg and Kim Winston return to BBC Sounds to celebrate Strictly Come Dancing's 20th series and Strictly Come Dancing: The Official Podcast promises to provide even more access-all-areas content than ever before.
Episode one of Strictly Come Dancing: The Official Podcast will be released on Sunday 25 September. Each episode will be released on Sunday evenings following the Strictly results show.
