A dozen dogs took a ride on a PATCO train as part of a training outing with the Crisis Response Canines (CRC) organization.

The pooches, along with friends from Alpha & Omega Working Dogs and prospective CRC members, boarded a PATCO train on October 15 at the Woodcrest Station and exited at the 8th and Market Station in Center City Philadelphia.

In addition to their ride on a PATCO train, the dogs also visited several tourist attractions in Philadelphia, including Independence Hall and the historic Liberty Bell. They also stopped at The Bourse Building while their handlers took a quick lunch break.

After some more sightseeing, the dogs boarded a PATCO train and traveled back to New Jersey.

CRC is a non-profit organization that certifies, trains, and deploys certified Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) and Animal Assisted Crisis Response (AACR) teams. The group deploys carefully selected, highly trained teams to scenes following traumatic events. The CRC canines have extensive training and certification.
